The use of fluorides has made teeth stronger and more resistant to decay. But now when decay starts in the small crevices in the biting surfaces of teeth, detection has become more challenging with the old dental pick and eye balls.
The KAVO DIAGNOdent® uses laser fluorescence to find those hidden cavities which may otherwise go undetected until they are much larger. Early detection means earlier more conservative treatment, which could mean less need for anesthetics- yeah!
